How to: Set a network printer to print to a file.
Solution:
In the 'Printers' window, right-click the network printer and select 'Properties'. Click the 'Details' tab, and select 'File: (Creates a file on disk)' from the 'Print to the following port' drop-down list. Click 'OK'.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Printers'. (The 'Printers' window appears.)

3) Right-click on the appropriate printer icon. (A pop-up menu appears.).
4) Click 'Properties'. (The '<printer> Properties' dialog box appears, where <printer> is the name of the selected printer.)
5) Click the 'Details' tab. (The 'Details' tabbed page appears.)
6) From the 'Print to the following port' drop-down list box, select 'File: (Creates a file on disk)'.
NOTE: When the document is printed, a new file will be created, containing the document formatted with the printer codes for that specific printer.
7) Click 'OK' to close the '<printer> Properties' dialog box, where <printer> is the name of the selected printer.
8) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Close' to exit the 'Printers' window.
